About Me
I am a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Guelph actively pursuing Co-op or internship opportunities in accordance with my academic calendar. I have a strong foundation in mechanical design using CAD software such as SolidWorks and have working knowledge in design validation techniques such as FEA and CFD. I developed these skills through a few projects I've worked on, which included some academic projects in courses, personal ones, and extracurricular involvement in engineering clubs such as the Gryphons Aerospace club. I also achieved CSWA certification in SolidWorks and aim to become a CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional) eventually.
Key Projects
Kinder Egg Toy Project
As part of the Engineering and Design II course, the purpose of this project was to simulate creating a product pitch to a board of directors/executives. In collaboration with a team of 4, I developed SolidWorks models of the components of a helicopter toy under the constraints of 'Kinder Egg' size fit, attachment and disassembly capabilities for most components of the toy, and the inclusion of an energy storage mechanism inside the toy.
After finalizing the product design in SolidWorks, the parts were 3D-printed using ABS filament and decorated to be visually appealing as shown. The 'product' was then presented in front of a panel of 'judges' accompanied by a product rollout plan, a cost analysis and revenue projection and proposed marketing strategies.
Overall, this project provided me the opportunity to experience the different stages of product development which is a very prominent application within engineering.

RC 'Wheelchair'
As part of the Engineering and Design I course, the purpose of this project was to develop an RC car to fit a teddy bear. The RC car would act as a 'wheelchair' to simulate real-world constraints related to biomechanical devices including ergonomics, safety, modularity, etc...
The wheelchair was built using parts from a Meccano Kit and automated using an Arduino Uno paired with a L298n motor controller board, a servo motor, and a DC motor. The automation of the device was done by programming in the the Arduino IDE interface which utilizes C++. As shown, a schematic diagram outlining the circuit connections was also developed in AutoCAD.
